Fused Sylphs Light + Dark and Water + Wind

Hey guys, I received some info about "fused" sylphs, which I want to share with you. In this post we will talk about a fusion between Light and Dark elements / sylphs and Wind and Water elements / sylphs. So let's start with Light & Dark Sylphs' fusion information and thanks to Lynn for sending this information to me / sharing with us all.

Light + Dark Sylph Skills Explanation

Here are the explanations for the skills of the fused Light / Dark Sylphs (pretty impressive stuff):

  • all the damage skills will deal +50% damage
  • 2 new delphics: Armageddon (400% to enemy with lower HP) and inspired light (185% to 2-4 enemies, heal 100%)
  • some of the weakest skills of apollo/hades are removed
  • new passive skill which gives 20% defense from dark/light
  • new passive skill which gives 20% defense from all others elements

Water + Wind Sylph Skills Explanation

These are less accurate explanations, so let's call them a "rough idea":

  • All the damage skills are the same value (acheron wave 280%, steal 280%, ice bolt 300%)
  • Rain dance heal increased to 180%, warm spring to 135%
  • Aquilon blessing consumes 250 awakening points instead of 500
  • Windcrest can reflect 50k damage :)
  • New delphic: for 3 turns, a shield 40% of HP for all teammates, cannot be dispelled, consume 500 points
  • Another delphic: gives 250 awakening points to all teammates each turn for 3 turns, cannot be dispelled, consume 500 points

Hercules Cosmos-Style

Hey guys, I was playing with "photoshopping" Hercules and came up with this alternative design. Which do you like more? You can be honest, don't have to flatter me :)

Hades & Apollo becoming more accessible

Hey guys, way back when Hades and Apollo were added into the game their price was I believe well above 20,000 balens. Over many months, as with all things, the price keeps dropping and becoming accessible to free players.

In recent months a number of free players were lucky to get these sylphs via event boxes or sylph atoll boss drops.

Back in April 2014 the white common grade Hades Seal was sold for 4,999 balens sprinkled with a touch of mahra and sepulcrum:

And after the midnight reset today players can now get these sylphs simply by paying 100 mahra for Apollo or 100 Sepulcrum for Hades!

So if these sylphs were your dream go ahead and get em, otherwise, if you are a super patient person like me just wait more - at some point it will be free or near free ^^

P.S. For Apollo nobody should be in a major rush, but I can imagine some mages might desperately need Hades. Archers and Knights however are perfectly fine waiting longer while using Hercules.

Importance of Sylph Type (Guide)

Hey guys, this is going to be an awesome guide on the importance of sylph type selection, which could totally change the life of your Wartune character! :)

As my punchline on the picture says:
"When a purple Hercules fails...
...A white Amazon succeeds"
I must admit I was generally in the more lazy camp of people thinking that if I just make 1 powerful sylph I can use it everywhere. For me this was Gaia, later renamed into Eve, which got evolved into Hercules. My Hercules sylph is indeed really strong and supports me 95% of the time and, as a knight, I am happy with him. BUT!

The Sylph Element Major Weakness

The problem with any specific sylph is their element. The way the game is built, especially the 4 free sylphs, Iris/Water, Pan/Wind, Amazon/Fire and Gaia/Eve/Electro, have one massive weakness in their resistances. The weakness usually goes up to -200, which makes them especially vulnerable against that sylph element.

The traditional "casher" sylphs, i.e. Hades/Dark and Apollo/Light are much better in this regard, but instead have a weakness versus each other.

The Importance of the Element in Battle

This becomes a major issue when you fight your weak element in battle, which could be in both PvP or PvE situations. For this guide I will focus on PvE - God's descent example to make my point / explanation.

So in this example, God's Descent level 13, I had to fight a Wind-based boss and I passed all the previous levels just with my Hercules. My Hercules is level 80, purple, 1 star - a more than decent sylph in terms of power. But the problem is I kept failing and was not able to beat this boss. One of the major problems was my weakness to his attacks (-200) and his resistance against my Electro element.

But actually my character was able to win this if I did the smart thing. And this is usually the case for everyone - you fail because you are doing something wrong while you actually have all the tools you need to win, but you simply don't see that at that particular moment (and this is very often also true in real life by the way...).

The Winning Solution

So I thought a little bit and I thought "Could it actually work?". What I mean, of course, is that at that moment I thought might I actually succeed with a spanking brand new white star Mr. Nobody Amazon when my 1-star Purple evolved Hercules fails. As you might know, once you have an idea it's really hard to get rid of it, so I went to the sylph atoll to quickly farm myself a new Amazon since i had none. 60 essences later - behold my newbie-mazie-boo was born. A couple of sylph exp scrolls bringing her to level 20ish and off I go to meet my doom in the level 13 of God's Descent.

And guess what? I won! Why? Because that Wind Boss had -200 (or very bad) resistance against Fire, so my changing my element not only my sylph attacks were strong but also my regular attacks as they became Fire element. Furthermore, my -200 weakness versus Wind disappeared as I inherited newbie-mazie-boo's resistance to Wind, which made me receive less damage.

So there you have it - respect the Elements in Wartune! Try to get any color sylph of each element and level them up to level 80 (don't have to invest mahra and sepulcrum). Help spread this info to your Wartune friends or guild pages.

1000 Sepulcrums Enchanting Effect

Hey guys, let's look on the distribution of points when enchanting Sylphs with Sepulcrums. I had made a video doing this a while back so I will link that below, but I don't think I made a blog post on this and since it is a nice topic here we go:

Before Enchanting with 1000 Sepulcrums

So our enchanting subject is an Amazon sylph as shown below with:

 - Strength 2182 out of 4532
 - Armor 1428 out of 3225
 - Intelligence 463 out of 741 (so this one will get maxed)
 - Endurance 2175 out of 4549
 - and a Battle Rating of 13019

And here we have the picture of the Amazon after:

After Enchanting

 - Strength 2453 out of 4532 - an increase of 271
 - Armor 1652 out of 3225 - an increase of 224
 - Intelligence 741 out of 741 (maxed out) - an increase of 278
 - Endurance 2412 out of 4549 - an increase of 237
 - and a Battle Rating of 15083 - an increase of 2064

So we see that we got more often points for Strength and Intelligence in this case, but otherwise you see that it is roughly an equal distribution of points, so there is no way to put all the points to the stat that you prefer, sooner or later you will have to pay for whatever stat is the lowest.

And as for the battle rating, so basically we can learn that 1000 sepulcrums is roughly 2000 battle rating worth amount. So if you want to increase your Sylph strength by 10k BR then it would take 5k sepulcrums.

And here is the video that I made about this 1st of June:

Sylph Runes and Spire and Card Sets and Mounts

Hey guys, posting here few tips that Rohit and Zimce s419 and Masha shared with me, first one is about Sylph and Rune trick in Spire and second one sharing card sets and then from Rohit sharing some cool Wartune mounts, which we might get sooner or later.

1) Remember that trick I explained on how to use runes when in Sylph mode, well, actually Zimce pointed out that the trick works on Spire as well, that is, with the Spire runes, so give it a shot if you want. And for those who missed the trick it's here: "How to Combine RUNES and SYLPH Mode"

2) Card sets. I actually haven't been lucky myself on both accounts I did not get a single purple card, so if you are in my shoes as well don't worry, I am sure it will all come with time.

3) Mount pictures:

Hades from Lucky Clover and Hades Overview

Hey guys, maybe some of you didn't catch my video on Hades, so here is the summary and the video at the bottom.

First off I got really lucky with box drops. I bought some boxes and boom I got this first announcement:

Then a few more boxes and gazam:

Actually in just 26 boxes I got 2 Hades which I was more angry about than happy. As I was doing this on my mage's account who is a casher I just needed one Hades and now I got 2 and the 2nd one is absolutely useless to me and I was angry because a lot of my friends have opened lots of boxes and didn't get any. One in particular opened now 600 boxes and didn't get Hades. So I will be making a report on this to the game publisher and there will be a small chance that it will be corrected.

Now coming back to the sylph here are the stats of Hades that I got:

He is actually a PATK sylph total opposite to Apollo, so when it comes to those two in the Sylph arena it seems that the one who attacks first will win since they have terrible resistances against one another.

And here is the video where I go more in detail about Hades:

How to Combine RUNES and SYLPH Mode

Hey guys, as I see a lot of people don't know and don't use this advantage I wanna share with you a "HOW TO" guide on using Runes in the Sylph Mode, which can give a big boost to your damage, especially when we talk about the powerful Delphic attacks of the various sylphs.

So how to use runes when in sylph mode:

1. Do any of your regular, non sylph attacks (excluding auto strike).

2. When you see the skill words in the middle of the screen (example "Lightning Strike", "Slasher") then go ahead and awaken the sylph either with the mouse or better with the shortcut (Space).

3. The moment you see the words "AWAKEN" in the middle of the screen use any rune you want either with the mouse or shortcut ("X" or "Z").

This "Click when you see the words" method works 100% of the time!!! and special thanks to QuanChoo and Elia for sharing info about this.

Last, but not the least I also made a video on YouTube fully explaining it so you can check it out below or on my YouTube channel.

The Nonsense about Upgrading to Orange Sylphs

(Posted by Cosmos, on behalf of DanNiel s253)

Before you get your pet to purple, most of us spend as much Mahra as we can on it, to give it more stars or to upgrade its rarity.  The extra growth rate alone makes it worth it, especially since you only need a relative small amount to go from one level to the next.

However, in this post, I would like to try to explain you in this article why it is in some (most?) cases Nonsense to upgrade a purple pet to an additional star or to orange. That is, if you have the choice between Mahra and Sepulchrum like in last Firecracker event. I’ll use 2 of my own pets as example for this.

I’m not taking into consideration the added advantage of upgrading your pet with Mahra to another star or rarity (increased growth rate, something you are not able to accomplish with the use of Sepulcrum) for the simple reason that, as you can see in the pics below, my purple pets outrun my hero in leveling manifold anyways. I’m pretty sure this happens with all purple pets…

Now on to the comparison:

Case 1: 1 star purple Gaia, not much Sepulcrum spend.

To get this pet its second star, I would need to invest about 1,250 Mahra (15,000 XP points divided by 12 XP points on average per Mahra).

As you can see in the first picture, its stats would then rise to
Strength: 396
Armor: 1,411
Intelligence: 2,164
Endurance: 2,175
Now If I would invest 1250 Sepulchrum in it, I would get the following stats:
(Assuming every stat gets an equal share of points allotted or 312 points each)
Strength: 687
Armor: 1,664
Intelligence: 2,388
Endurance: 2,399
If you compare these numbers, it is obvious that the pet would be much stronger with the Sepulchrum invested than with the extra star (Mahra invested)

Case 2: 5 star purple Apollo, Already plenty of Sepulchrum spend.

To get this pet to orange, I would need to invest a whopping 2,920 Mahra (35,000 XP points divided by 12 XP points on average per Mahra).

As you can see in the first Apollo picture, its stats would then rise to
Strength: 845
Armor: 3,330
Intelligence: 5,029
Endurance: 4,866
However to max out all the stats and get the following numbers
Strength: 828
Armor: 3,299
Intelligence: 5.244
Endurance: 5,256
I would only need to invest 773 Sepulcrum, which is a lot less than 2,920 !!!

If you compare the numbers, it is obvious that the pet would be much stronger maxed out than orange. It has way more Intelligence modifier (MATK pet, so this is more damage) and Endurance fares even better (= gets even more points extra, which translates in more HP both for your pet in Arena and your Hero). Your hero will only lose out on a bit extra Strength and Armor (17 and 31 respectively) and I think you can see how the added endurance and magic attack of the pet make up several times for that. And remember, you still saved more than 2,000 Mahra !

Hercules and Cerberus Skills

(Posted by Eliatan)

Hey you guys, did a little digging around the Chinese version of Wartune and took these pictures of the purchasable skills for transformed Gaia (Hercules) and transformed Amazon Queen (Cerberus). This is to fill some holes in Cosmos's previous post "Sylph's Future Updates and Strategies". Go there for information on the other transformed sylphs!

I've included the pictures of the text, so if you are fluent in Chinese and see something wrong, please leave clarifications in the comments section, and I'll edit the post.

Hercules:

Used to learn the electric sylph skill: Thunder Cleave. Skill effects: Causes 230%+1580 magical electric damage to a single front-row enemy, and reduces the casting speed of target by 30%, lasts 3 rounds.

Skill: Chain Shock

Skill Requirement: Level 70

Used to learn the fire sylph skill: Burning Flame. Skill effects: Causes 225%+875 physical fire damage to a single random enemy, and target loses 2% of total HP per round. Maximum of 8000 HP, lasts 3 rounds, effects can stack.

Skill: Styx Song

Skill Requirement: Level 70

Used to learn the fire sylph skill: Styx Song. Skill effects: Consumes 500 Awakening points. Restores 15% of total HP, and increases damage dealt by 15%, lasts 3 rounds.

Skill: Proficient Fire Offerings (Passive)

Skill Requirement: Level 70

Used to learn the fire sylph skill: Proficient Fire Offerings. Skill effects: When attacking, there is a chance to increase critical rate for the next two rounds by 10%.

P.S. Please don't flood the comments asking me about more things in the Chinese version. I pestered a non-Wartune friend to help me out with this, so I don't want to make it a regular thing. The reason this came about is I heard a rumor that the transformed version of Gaia supposedly did PATK and MATK damage. That doesn't seem to be the case, but I was too curious not to go try and find out.

Sylph Essence Farming Drops

Hey guys, a lot of people are curious about sylph farming in the sylph atoll and the chances of getting one which is not white. So here below is a report I prepared based on the input of Kay (thanks Kay!) where you can see that out of 3499 sylphs killed and the 58 times when the 60 essence exchange was made the vast majority were white sylphs - 86.2%. So do not be surprised at all if you get white all the time.

On the other hand it is relatively good to see that the chance of getting green is not that bad, at 13.8%, so this means that 1-2 in 10 exchanges should in theory give a green one.

Now in this data set not a single blue sylph was dropped or exchanged, which is rather unlucky I suppose, but you can indeed get blue ones as well both from instant drops as well as from the exchanges. I recon the chance of blue is maybe like 2-3%.

It is a pity that Wartune went a little bit in the boring farming direction, but at least now you can see the chances, so have a look at the report below:

95k Athena Sylph

Hey guys, you know there are already a lot of players now in Wartune with 95k BR, but did you think or know that there are sylphs with BR higher than you? :) hehehe

Here from Tristen you can see a 95k BR Athena! This sylph is an Athena (Transformation of Apollo). Sylph Battle Rating Madness!!! (EDIT: Corrected Meduza to Athena)

Also, Tristen found out that an Aegis (Transformation of Hades) can go up to 140k BR (Orange level 80). It can also one shot the level 100 Forgotten Catacombs. So yes this is the power of the sylphs.

The secret weapon of Thethrell

Hey guys, I got here a screenshot of the Wartune secret weapon of Thethrell which is just awesome! So check it out below and here are few words from him:
I'm Thethrell from Server Wartune 153. Upgrading this took a purple Apollo. Second star took 15k exp, third took 20k, fourth took 25k, fifth took 30k, and to max it to orange took 35k. Upgrading all the stats on it took getting sepulcrum wherever I could, and a lot of it. I didn't put it into any other sylphs, just this one. I've been playing since September, am level 70, and was doing Class Wars for the first time and wanted to be prepared, and came in 19th, after fighting only lvl 75+. Pretty much once I pull this out I win. I was also able to pass lvl 15 of Necro thanks to this, and made it to 19, and ONLY lose in battleground and group arena to stunners.

Condition for Transformation:

Level 70 Sylph

Purple or Orange Grade

You need to collect Constitutional items like "Sand of the Stars", "Tears of the Stars" and "Flaming/Ice/Wind/Earth/Light/Dark Stars" from a New Sylph MP Dungeon called the Road to the Sky.

You can fight them 10 times a day with your Sylph 1 v 1 they will get Experience and these certain items for them to upgrade when they're Level 70.

After you evolve them you can pay Balens to keep all the Skills you've learned (because they are upgraded and attributes may be different when they transform) and Speculums you've put into the Sylph. If you do not pay Balens only 20% of the Speculums will transfer towards your new Evolved Sylph and selected Skills will be transferred over.

Also during this update you can pay Balens to replace skills you selectively and currently possess (unlike right now it removes one randomly of your choice).

So that's it boys and girls, a great guide prepared by GenevaYuki and like I said it might not be 100% complete or perfect but nevertheless it is very good and for everyone out there in the Wartune world should be quite interesting to read and perhaps even prepare for the future (for example perhaps we should keep all our sepulcrums instead of using them so to avoid the balen payment during transformation - just a thought).

So put down in the comments what you think and if you think this is a good development for Wartune or not. I think its fun :)

Check out this picture posted by winlord in the forum of Pipster and his Junior 50k bomb in his little pocket ^^

And just for fun let's see how much it might cost :P
I have done a calculation in the table below - check it out, I get:

12,000 Soul Crystals 10 million Gold 1 Apollo or 560 Mahras

Hey guys, so I got a wonderful sylph achievement here which I am sharing with you both for fun and knowledge. Some of you know I have been hoarding a lot of items for a long time and some of these are soul crystals of which I had gathered up ~12,000 and I kept on waiting and waiting until we got again an unlimited soul engraving event, which we just did! There we had a choice to buy a blue apollo sylph for 480 uplifting souls or 35 mahras for 30 souls, which means 560 mahras for the same price as the apollo.

Now I put up the question also on the forums where the poll results were 44.44% voting for 3 star blue iris; 33.33% voting for 1 star blue apollo and 22.22% voting to keep the soul crystals for future events. In total 18 people voted which is not huge but still is good. And there was also a good discussion for 2 pages about it which was directed at future upcoming light and dark sylphs. Still coming up with a consensus that Iris is really good for knights.

Also in my guild we had a good discussion and actually it was a very difficult choice to make, to take a 1 star blue apollo sylph or a 3 star blue iris (for me, a knight). There was no clear conclusion about it, everyone had good points.

Below you will find my video about the whole thing, so check it out, but otherwise I am also putting below the video pictures and info.
