Video of Cloud Adventures Strategy

Hey guys, on the 25th Jan DZmage wrote the Cloud Adventures Strategy which involved using multiple magic dice following the method to have awesome rewards. If you haven't seen that, you can read about that here.

In this post, I want to share my video where I show in action DZmage's strategy with a little bit of Cosmos twist to it allowing some flexibility for a chance to also catch the bosses on the way, which I think turned out pretty good.

So those who want to read in detail check out DZ's article and those who want to watch the video check it out below:

Cloud Adventures Strategy!

(Posted by DZmage of the DolyGames Team)

Hi everyone! Since we had our second Cloud Adventures weekend and since I had Bound Balens to use, I decided to test it out! Before I start explaining what we have to do and why, I want to say a big thanks to Limbeck for letting me know that we can buy Magic Dices which I didn't know when we first had this new event.

This said, lets get started!

Requirements

  • Must be level 55+ with an equipped sylph.
  • Save 900 or 1800 Bound Balens (will discuss why later).
  • Have a great luck for more benefits :p

What do we need to know?

This event is based on rolling a six faced dice and depending on which number we get, our character will move with same number of squares and will engage a fight, activate a trap or other kind of events depending on where we land. We also need to know that the most important drops are hidden in the end of the map.

When we reach the "Finish" square, we get 1 free spin and the remaining dices will be converted into spin attempts!  like shown in the screen shot below :

cloud-advanture-extra-spins

We have 2 kinds of dices: Common Dice and Magic Dice. A Common Dice allows us to roll the dice and get a random dice face which can go from 1 to 6. The Magic Dice is a bit different, instead of rolling it and get a random face, we can choose which face we want as shown in the screen shot below.

magic-dice-cloud-adventure

We can hold 1 Magic Dice at same time and we can buy a maximum of 5 Magic Dices per day at the cost of 180 Balens and/or Bound  Balens per dice (a total of 900 Balens and/or Bound Balens per day). So if we want to buy more, we need to use the one we own!

Note : The full event has 60 squares in total.

Strategy

First of all, we need to collect preferably 1800 Bound Balens during the week. Bound Balens can be collected from different sources like: Spire, Dimension, Daily Checking (300 Bound Balens per month), Grand Lottery, etc.

This strategy requires at least 900 Bound Balens for best cost to income ratio . If we can not collect enough Bound Balens during the week, then I suggest to save for next Cloud Adventures event.

Once we have the required amount of Bound Balens, we can use them for buying Magic Dice which will allow us to complete the Cloud Adventures map using the minimum of dices to reach the arrival.

When we use the Magic Dice, we always will prioritize the number 6 no matter if we miss the bosses or not. Here are 3 simple reasons why I prioritize the number 6 more than others :
  1. The main point of buying the Magic Dices is to rush completing the event using the minimum dices we can. That way we can maximize the benefits from the event.
  2. The rewards we get during the event are ridiculously small compared to the final rewards.
  3. In addition to the small rewards we get during the event, it's also a time consuming such as the bosses who are not easy to kill and the waves of enemies that needs more time to clear even if we have AOE Skills.
Choosing only number 6 from all the Magic Dices is not enough. As I said previously, the event has 60 squares which means if we want to complete it using the minimum dices, we need exactly 10 x 6 rolls which is very hard to get, if not impossible.

However, the event give us 1 free Magic Dice and we can buy up to 5 extra Magic Dices which makes it 6/10 (which is already very good to start with). For the rest of rolls, we have no other choice than using the Common Dices and pray for the maximum of number 6 rolls!

Unless if we have a very bad luck, we should complete the event with 8~10 extra dices + the free spin attempt we get :)

Analysis

First of all, lets check the drops I got during this second Cloud Adventures :)

Day 1

cloud-adventures-rewards-day-1

Day 2

cloud-adventures-rewards-day-2

So after applying my strategy, I'm totally satisfied with the result. Investing 1800 Bound Balens allowed me to get the following rewards  (summary) :

  • 90 Bound Balens ( 1260 + 630 - 1800 = 90 ).
  • 85x Mahra.
  • 30x Sepulcrum.
  • 15.9 million gold!
  • 3x Magic Hammer.
  • 120x Golden Holy Water.
  • 36x Crystal Shard.
  • 9x Soul Seal.
  • 6x Glint of Magic.
  • 6x Magical Moonlight.

I was really lucky during this event! As we can see, I recovered all the Bound Balens I invested during this event with a tiny benefit of 90 Bound Balens. But the most important are all the other drops I got for free.

In my opinion, Cloud Adventures is on of the best events to spend our Bound Balens since it gives a pretty good drops. So I recommend for all those who don't know what to do with their Bound Balens to invest them in this weekly event because even if we are not lucky as I was this time, this event remains the best event to spend our Bound Balens. Plus we get some Bound Balens back which makes the investment cheaper and more interesting!

Advantages vs Inconveniences

The advantages are :
  • It's totally free.
  • It improves the rewards.
  • It allows us to complete the event with extra spin attempts.
  • It gives us more chances to get free Magic Hammers.

The inconveniences are :
  • It requires some luck for epic rewards.
  • It consumes Bound Balens.
  • It prevents us from using the Bound Balens for something else if we decide to follow the strategy.
  • It forces us to complete all the dailies that gives Bound Balens so we can collect the required amount of Bound Balens.

Conclusion

With all the Bound Balens we are getting now, we did not have a decent event where we can spend our Bound Balens except maybe Dimensions, where most of old players do not need to buy more steps anymore due to the recent updates that helped us to make higher Resistance Crystals.

Even if 1800 Bound Balens sounds crazy, the incomes are still great compared to any other event that accepts Bound Balens.

Eventually, this strategy is for those who don't have where to spend their Bound Balens like all the old players who already have all the Transposers from level 5 to level 9, who already unlocked Double Skills, etc.

I hope this strategy will help everyone to get more rewards from Cloud Adventures and here is one of my spins to make this strategy a bit more interesting ;)

Level 64 BR 224k shares How to Hold Level Successfully

Hey guys, we have here a nice article from Pinky (class: Archer) sharing with everyone his strategy of successfully holding level and being super strong with 224k BR at level 64. So I hope you benefit from his knowledge and enjoy the guide and thanks to Pinky for sharing with everyone.

Just 1 note from me, a couple of points you need to be careful about and use most recent updated sources such as the point about Refinement locks and most recent events. With that said, let's jump straight into Pinky's guide:

How to hold level successfully

Hi guys, since I am being asked on battlegrounds very often, why I do have so much BR for my level, I decided to make a guide on how to follow the holding level strategy successfully without having to cash a lot into the game.

1. Avoid getting experience!

The most important thing about holding level is, that you may not level up, so you have to avoid getting exp. Some tips how you can do this: -Exit your multiplayer dungeons after you did the second last boss. You will get your cristalloids and legendary stones for your gear, but you don’t get the exp for finishing the dungeon. -In case you complete a quest, don’t hand it in, just let it be.

2. Soul engraving, gems and mount whips

As you can see in the picture, I have maxed out my soul engraving (I also have the highest level gems possible for me, as well as maxed out my stables). In order to get to this, the only thing you have to do is participating in events. These events will make it very easy for you to max out all of these three things as well. The biggest part of my battle rating is built on this, so don’t neglect it.

3. Equipment

Your equipment is very important as well. The only thing that you can do is walking through your multiplayer dungeons every day in order to get the crystalloids and legendary stones for your equipment. As you can see, I have all of my equipment pieces on legendary, what is of course the best. In case you don’t know whether to equip your lvl 50 legendary ring or your lvl 60 normal ring, just go for the lvl 50 legendary, it will give you more BR than the lvl 60 ring. A major part of your equipment is not only the equipment itself, but also its refinements. I would recommend you to go through your campaign and MP dungeon every day and recycle the equipment you get from it. The refinement locks are easily accessible through jewel hunt.

4. Astrals

On the right, you see the astral setup I would recommend for archers. For knights and mages I would recommend the will destroyer build since most peoples crit on the lower levels is not that high ( as a mage, take the MATK astrals). But however, an archer with 5000 crit has a higher chance to crit than a mage with 5000 crit.

5. Sylph

I recommend everybody who is holding level to go for a gaia (or hercules). The reason for this is, that it is the strongest sylph in single pvp (take a hades or aegis for multiplayer pvp). A lot of people also have a hades as their main slyph, but keep in mind that you can evolve your gaia at lvl 60 and you hades at lvl 70. So, for somebody under lvl 70 a gaia/hercules is definitely the way to go.

It is also very recommendable to only build one really good sylph (otherwise you would have to cash a lot) because multiple medium sylphs are a lot worse than one good one. I also keep one sylph of every element for dimensional war. In the beginning, I mentioned that I did not cash a lot into my account, so you may wonder why I have three blue sylphs and one two star purple sylph. If you really want to get the blue sylphs for free, then just farm sylphs in the sylph atoll. When you then exchange your essences for seals you have a small chance of receiving a blue sylph, this saves you a lot of mahra! For my hercules, my main sources of mahra were dimensional war, wilds shop and the horns from sky trail (4 a day). I got it completely for free.

6. Mounts

In the game, you get a lot of mounts for free ( for amethysts, guild mount, arena mount, crypt mount etc.). Just try to get all the mounts you can buy from these shops and sometimes you can even hope for an event mount ;)

7. Daily events

The only thing about daily events (jewel hunt, dimensional war etc.) that I can say is, that you should just try to do all of them and try to maximize your rewards.

So this is how you hold your level successfully… I hope I helped you guys a lot. If there is something that is not clear, you can either look at the pictures more close or just do the things like everybody does it (like getting mounts, sylph equipment etc.). But if there are still any questions left, just ask me when you meet me on the battleground or on R2Games server 313.

Dimensions Power for Sky Trail

Hey guys, I want to share with you info on the awesome connection between Dimensions and Sky Trail. I was stuck for a long time on Sky Trail Level 3 Stage 5 - a very difficult Dark Boss, hitting me with 250.000 damage, with no hopes of passing it anytime soon.

However, I managed to get my hands on 2 basic and 2 intermediate dimension coordinates, which you might have seen in my Dimensions video series:

And after completing these 4 I managed to get my Dark Resistance up to 624 without having a Hades sylph. Here below you can see my resistances at the time (left) and the power-ups given by the dimensions (right).

Only because of Dimensions I was able to beat that boss (and the one after), because with the higher resistances I was getting less damage, which means I was surviving more to do damage. Like I mentioned, there is no way I would have beaten this boss had it not been for the Dark Dimensions, so my advice to everyone is to save up dimension coordinates the element of the next Sky Trail level that you are unable to pass.

Depending on the difficulty you need at least 5 basics of that same element, but otherwise I'd say a minimum of 3 basics to get those resistances increased and then as the energy costs is down to 10 per step then opening 1-2 intermediate dimensions and if possible, for the 5th one, an advanced dimension. Then you will have a huge surge of resistance allowing you to beat the Sky Trail boss.

Repeating this strategy over time you can pass a lot of Sky Trail levels bringing you also a much better Horns income every day.

Lych's Lair Trick for Getting 6 Bosses Always

(Posted by DZmage of the DolyGames Team)

Hi guys, with the last update, we can now see how many bosses are left in each MPD!
With this new feature, we can check how many bosses currently are in Lych Lair.
Lych's Lair basically has 3 bosses and if you are lucky enough, you can get up to 3 extra bosses which each one gives you 1 Dragon Essence!

Steps how to catch 6 Mini-Bosses in Lych's Lair

As everyone knows, each MPD allows 4 players to join at the same time and each player has 10 free Bullhorns which makes it a total of 40 free bullhorns per day!

The idea is as following:
  1. Find 3 other players.
  2. Each player make a Lych's Lair room and must UNCHECK THE REWARD BUTTON!!
  3. Go inside and check if the first Boss is there.
    • If the first Boss is there,  then open the party window, send a fast invite and check how many bosses remaining (if it says 4, it means there is 1 mini boss. If it says 5, it means there are 2 mini bosses etc).
    • If the first boss is not there, just exit the dungeon and try again. Because when we see the first boss, we are sure to not wast our fast invite on a 0 mini Boss Lych's Lair.
Here is a picture that shows you how many bosses are there in the Dungeon.

Lych's Lair MPD trick

As we can see on the picture above, when the Fast Invite says: (Rem. BOSS: 3), it means that there is no mini boss because the 3 bosses are the usual ones.

Optimize the use of your Bullhorns!

Once you have a full team, my suggestion is that each player start doing the trick and the first to find a higher number of bosses, stops looking and wait until an other one finds a higher number of bosses. We keep doing this until someone finds a 6 bosses one, and then everyone join it with the Rewards Button checked.

Once the 3 others join the MPD, the one who found the 6 bosses also needs to quit and join back with the Rewards Button checked so he can get the rewards from all 6 bosses.

I hope this will help all the level 70 players to earn more Dragon Essences each day especially for those who are already level 80 and need to max their Dragon Soul so they can Class Advance :)

Update

There is a better way to check how many bosses are there in any MPD that has mini bosses like Lych's Lair and Void!

Instead of wasting our daily free Bullhorns, we can just do the following steps:

  1. Creat a Lych's Lair room (or any other other MPD that contains mini bosses)
  2. UNCHECK THE REWARD BUTTON!!
  3. Ask a friend to help us check how many bosses are there in the MPD.
  4. Start the MPD alone and invite him.
  • If the invite we sent to our friend says (Rem. BOSS: 6), then he/she has to join and re-invite the whole team with Reward Button checked. Please check the picture below as an example.
  • If the invite does not say (Rem. BOSS: 6), then we restart from step1.

Big thanks to Siarra and BadSector for explaining me the trick. Also big thanks to Limbeck for helping me make the screenshot.

Cheapest Source of Resistance Crystals (For Cashing Players)

(Posted by Ashira of the DolyGames Team) (newly joined)

At the moment, we have three ways to obtain resistance crystals in the game via cashing. It is every player’s individual choice to cash for something or not, but if one decides to cash on something, it is a good idea to find the cheapest source at least.

The three sources are:
  • Level 1 Resistance Crystal (Regular Shop)
  • Hot Event Resistance Crystal Chests
  • Higher-Quality Treasure Hunt

Let us explore the cost for each of these sources – the assumption here is that the player wants to obtain a large number of resistance crystals in a relatively short period of time, so for Treasure Hunt, I will only consider Orange/Gold Treasure Hunt.

1) Regular Shop

The price of a Level 1 Resistance Crystal in regular shop (on Page ‘Gems’) is 145 Balens.

2) Hot Event Chests

As always, R2 does not give us the exact drop rates for the chest items, so we have to rely on empirical data. For the purpose of this article, I got 200 of these event chests from the shop and recorded the statistics. I separated the 200 chests in four subsamples to see how diverse the results can be (clearly, the results are not completely accurate with a sample size of 200, but it can be considered a good approximation). In the table, ‘Sample 1’ refers to the first 50 chests opened, ‘Sample 2’ refers to the second 50 chests opened, etc.

Sample #

15880

So, as you can see, from 200 chests for 4000 Balens, I got 15880 resistance crystal shards. Roughly half of the chests dropped only 30 crystals and I got not a single drop with 1000 crystals in this sample, which I consider unusual based on previous experience with these chests. So those 15880 shards are probably a rather low number for 200 chests opened.

Now since I spent 4000 Balens and got 15880 shards (which is equal 158.8 Level 1 Resistance Crystals), this makes the price for one Level 1 Resistance Crystal equal to 4000/158.8 = 25.18 Balens. So the price here is just over a sixth of the price they charge in the regular shop.

3) Orange Treasure Hunt

For orange Treasure Hunt, it is incorrect to take the entire rewards from it as a reward for the Balens spent, because it is possible to do green Treasure Hunt completely free. So we can only consider the difference in rewards of orange Treasure Hunt versus green Treasure Hunt as reward for the Balens spent.

I make two assumptions for the calculations below:

  • I assume that a team of four people does a full orange Treasure Hunt (i.e. 5 orange maps) and that each of the four people gets the final map every 4th day, which means that every day a single player gets 5/4 = 1.25 orange maps.
  • I assume that on average 2 out of the 5 summoned bosses (i.e. 40%) are elite bosses. This is an estimate based on experience in the game.

Now let us first calculate the rewards you get for green Treasure Hunt under the assumptions made:

A normal green boss in a party of 4 gives 36 crystal shards, and an elite green boss in a party of 4 gives 48 crystal shards. Since we assumed that 2 out of the 5 bosses are elites, this results in a reward of 3 * 36 + 2 * 48 = 208 crystal shards.

For orange Treasure Hunt, the calculation is a bit more complex, since there is an additional bonus if you summon the orange boss yourself (as opposed to teammates summoning it). In a party of 4, a normal orange boss summoned by a teammate gives 108 crystal shards, a normal orange boss summoned by you gives 144 crystal shards, an elite orange boss summoned by a teammate also gives 144 crystal shards, and an elite orange boss summoned by you gives 192 crystal shards. Using the assumptions made above (that you – on average – get 1.25 out of the 5 maps each day and that 40% of the summoned bosses are elites), this results in the following table:

Category Reward (Shards) Number of Bosses (in this Category) Total Rewards
(Reward * Number)
Elite (You)
192
1.25*40% = 0.5
96
Normal (You)
144
1.25*60% = 0.75
108
Elite (Mate)
144
3.75*40% = 1.5
216
Normal (mate)
108
3.75*60% = 2.25
243
Total
5
663

As can be seen, under these assumptions, orange Treasure Hunt gives on average 663 resistance crystal shards as reward. Taking into account the rewards from green Treasure Hunt, this means we get 663 – 208 = 459 shards (or 4.59 Level 1 Resistance Crystals) as additional rewards in orange Treasure Hunt for a Balen cost of 1.25 maps * 120 Balens (for 1-time refresh) = 150 Balens. This makes the cost of a Level 1 Resistance Crystal equal to 150/4.59 = 32.68 Balens.

Conclusion: So if I want to spend 150 Balens per day on Resistances, what should I do?

Never ever even think about getting those crystals from regular shop, for the 150 Balens you would only get 1.03 Level 1 Resistance Crystals.

Doing Orange Treasure Hunt, the 150 Balens give you 4.59 Level 1 Resistance Crystals. You have no other way to gain free crystals though, since you can only do 5 treasure maps for rewards per day.

Purchasing the Hot Event chests, the 150 Balens give you 5.96 Level 1 Resistance Crystals. However, you can also gain more free crystals on the same day, since you can do 5 green treasure maps, which gives you an additional 2.08 Level 1 Resistance Crystals, as calculated above. So this gives you a total of 8.04 Level 1 Resistance Crystals per day.

In conclusion, if you have a limited amount of Balens to spend, your best option to gain resistance crystals fast are the Hot Event chests + doing green Treasure Hunt. The advantage of this strategy is even more severe than displayed above, since you also get quite a bit of gold with the purchased Hot Event chests, and you avoid the trouble of finding a party for doing orange Treasure Hunt (which – compared to finding a party for green Treasure Hunt – can be really time-consuming). That said, keep in mind that the calculations are based on a relatively small sample of 200 purchased chests and that with Hot Event chests buying only a small amount of them involves a risk of getting really unlucky and a chance of getting really lucky – so if you only have a very limited budget to spend on these chests (say, you would buy only 20 chests) AND you are a very risk-averse person, this strategy might not be appealing to you.

Astral Strategies and my First Level 10 Orange Astral in Wartune

Hey guys, I finally achieved my first level 10 Orange astral in Wartune after 2 years of playing :) as 99.9% non-casher (which is why it took so long) + a knight (archer would get it faster).

This madness, requiring over 900,000 astral experience points, costs, roughly counting 450 million gold, but as long as you keep at it adding a little bit every day it adds up finally.

Also to Share Astral Strategies / Tips

Although I'm sure you are happy for me and wish me well :) I am not posting just about my achievement but also want to give some tips / strategy related to it.

This astral which I maxed out (there is no red version for % astrals) is the Determination astral bringing it to a 50% boost in critical damage and this is also what I suggest you to do first before any other astral (assuming that you are "crit build"), because this will directly increase your World Boss income (and, of course, make you perform better in other events / dungeons).

The effect is a lot bigger than increasing crit astral (especially for WB crit is maxed at a lower level, so you can't increase income with that) or attack astral, which does increase your income but not by as much as an additional 5% like Determination.

Never Upgrade to Level 10 These:

On the other side there are astrals which you should be using but should never upgrade to level 10. These are astrals like Regeneration and Deflection. Not only a level 10 is almost meaningless, but you probably don't even want to go higher than level 7 or 8 at most.

This is because the effect of healing or damage of 50,000 is limited to that amount, which, especially for players above 200,000 battle rating is very easy to reach even with the most basic attacks at level 7 (70% of damage). Actually as people are getting stronger and stronger than you will need lower and lower level of these astrals to get the full effect.

Astral Slot Upgrade Tips

When upgrading your astral slots there are 2 things I want to share which are super useful if you don't know them.

1) The upgrade is applied to the specific astral slot and not the astral itself. This means you can move astrals around without a problem and choose which one to apply the upgrade to.

2) Some astrals benefit from this hugely while others' benefit is negligible. For example 1 astral slot upgrade level is already a good improvement for something like Illusion astral, but will only give a few extra, almost meaningless, points to a crit astral. So make sure you put astrals like Illusion, Goddess and Determination on your highest astral slots. Definitely do not waste an upgrade slot on something like Regeneration / Deflection because 70% of damage or 73% of damage is basically the same thing.

Getting Maximum Rewards with Patience

Hey guys, remember that you always have the choice between immediate benefit and a bigger reward down the road. In many experiments done on people it was proven that people prefer to have a smaller reward today than a much bigger reward some time in the future. Knowing this weakness we all have as humans (or maybe it's not a weakness in some cases) we can think twice about what we do in Wartune.

In Wartune we always have the choice to save up items and wait for an event which will give us more rewards for consuming those items or to use them right away and get a little bit stronger.

There are people on both sides of this discussion and it is not really easy to say if one side is right or the other.

Collectors with with the Fate Stone Event

Myself, I am in the camp of people who save up items and today was my pay-day when the Fate Stone event launched with lots of rewards, which you could only take if you saved up a lot of fate stones (with the exception of cashers who can buy whatever they want).

Other items in Wartune to consider collecting

Well, of course, gems:
Something I am saving up and waiting for mount refining event are the Hoofs:
Then you have resistance and will crystals:
Then good luck charms and fashion cores for clothing sysnthesis:
And many other items like:
- mahras
- sepulcrums
- possibly vulcan stones
- bounty scrolls certainly
- soul crystals
- mount training whps
- maybe roses but low chance on this
- small runestones (if you don't have all runes yet)
- fate stones as already mentioned
- crypt keys (for rare "enter necro" events)

Making choices in Wartune

What I find helps me to make a choice if I should save up or not is the following question:
"If I use this item will it make a significant change to my day to day runs in Wartune?"
If not, then no problem in being patient.

There are also a lot of people who don't understand basic mathematics and say if you don't participate in an event you lose the rewards. No, because you still have the items so you can use them now or later to get the rewards, it makes no difference. Actually you even win by holding out because future rewards are always greater than current since they have to increase rewards all the time to keep players from quitting.

Wartune Harlem Shake + Cool LYCH's Lair Tip

Hey guys, I want to share with you a really cool tip for Lych's Lair dungeon and a funny Wartune version of the famous Harlem Shake and all of this is thanks to DZmage S195 so thumbs up to him for being cool and sending me cool stuff to share with you :)
(You also can send me interesting things to post for everyone!!)

The really cool Lych's Lair dungeon tip

There is a trick to 100% guarantee we get a minimum of 1 additional mini boss in Lych Lair. All we have to do is:

  1. Start with creating a room and uncheck the reward option / attempt.
  2. Then only 1 of you enter the room alone and check if the first mini boss is there.
  3. If you see him floating around then you invite the rest of the team and pass the leadership to someone else.
  4. Then leave the room and rejoin back but this time with the attempt / reward option checked.
  5. If you don't find the mini boss then all you have to do is leave the dungeon and restart a new room and repeat the same process until you find the boss.

And there you go - 100% guarantee of having an extra mini boss in the Lych's Lair

Guide to Which Astral to Use

(Posted by Miklós & COSMOS of the DolyGames Team)

This short guide will help you decide which astrals to use.

The abbreviations used:

  • PVP = player vs player: bg, gb, cw, arena etc.
  • PVE = player vs environment: necropolis, sky trial, god's descent etc.

Astrals to use all the time

ATK astrals (most important stat in wartune),
Aegis or Goddess blessing (Aegis on lower levels, Goddess for the future)
Sniper-Determination or Will Destroyer (depending on if you crit build or ewd).

Defense astrals (mdef, pdef): I use these most of the time. In pvp, both astrals are a must. In pve, if you fight versus a very strong opponent (necropolis, sky trial, god's descent), you should be aware if your opponent is matk or patk, and replace the useless defense astral. In some cases, where the opponent has an extreme attack, like in sky trial, you might even choose not to use any.

So how many astro slots this covers?

  • 2 slots for attack astrals
  • 1 slot for Aegis or Goddess
  • 2 slots for crit build or 1 slot for WD
  • 2 slots for defenses
So that's already 6-7 slots covered by the basics.

In the old system we had maximum of 8 astro slots and in the new system we have 10 astro slots, so that leaves you with 3-4 slots left to choose if you have unlocked all the astro slots.

Other Astrals to choose

Enshieldment: a successful block reduces damage by 25%. This astral is great in any pve situation, but less good in pvp since they added penetration. If you are a knight, or just have a high block (7k+) still use it all the time. Otherwise replace it with something more useful in pvp.

Deflection: This astral is less useful on lower level and becomes more and more useful the higher you get. This is because the calculation is a percentage of the damage dealt, so if someone is hitting you with 2000 damage it's not that scary, but if most attacks can generate the capped 50,000 reflection, this becomes rather useful. This astral is often much more a PVP astral than a PVE one, however it can be very useful in PVE damage race situations such as God's Descent, Necropolis and Sky Trail. You don't really need to rush this astral to a level 10 deflection, a level 8 is good enough if your other astrals need work as well.

Guardian Angel: This is a very powerful astral in pvp. Lately everyone is using crit build, so GA decreases damage by a lot. It has only one drawback: your chance to receive crit heal are significantly lowered. Still, it is good to use - what you gain is much more than what you lose. It can bring benefit both in PVP and PVE, but note that monsters crit much less often than players so when doing PVE consider if you can benefit more from other astrals.

Regeneration: Since it's cap has been raised, this is a powerful astral. This astral is less useful on lower level and becomes more and more useful the higher you get. I recommend it in every situation where the battle takes a long time and the survival is important. In fast PVP battles this astral will not have a lot of chances to activate, but in longer PVP battles as some Class War fights might get rather long it might decide win or loss. You don't really need to rush this astral to a level 10 regeneration, a level 8 is good enough if your other astrals need work as well.

Brilliance: All other astrals give a much better bonus when you have a large amount of HP, so I recommend this astral only for World Boss, where it can mean the difference between survival and death. The only other situation is where Battle Rating is important to you in which case you can take this on to boost your BR for prizes or ranking.

Illusion: this astral gives much less bonus what it's description says. Simply completely ignore the 10% number in its description and just accept that it activates rarely. The dodge rate is actually only like 5-6% with max illusion. However, it completely cancels out the enemy attack making it extremely powerful if it is activated and can certainly decide if you lose or win a battle if it activates on a powerful enemy delphic. However, on lower levels I would not recommend anyone to use this since you will not have the gold income to max out this astral making it extremely rare activating. But on higher levels when you do have the power to max out this astral it can be priceless.

Remember that the higher the damage numbers the bigger the effect of the percentage astrals.

How to Find Bosses in the Wilds

Hey guys, here is an interesting guide to help you find bosses in the Wilds with special thanks to Axell from S520. I made a video on this so might be a good idea to check out the video, but I will give a brief explanation also here:

So as you know the Wilds maps are simply 2 dimensional maps with X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) coordinates. The top left is 1/1 and the bottom right is 600/600 (example Erandel).

Then this map can be separated into horizontal sections depending on the number of bosses. So in my example I have 5 bosses and 600 as the maximum Y coordinate, so 600 can be broken down in 5 sections of 120.

Once you do that then the top boss can be found in the top section, the bottom boss in the bottom section and the others in their corresponding order from top to bottom.

UPDATE: I received feedback from people that this mapping system for Wilds Bosses does not work 100% of the time, so sometimes it works and sometimes not. If someone find an explanation let me know I'll post an update.

Making Tons more Gold Daru by Surviving World Boss

Hey guys, so let's talk about making a lot more income of gold and daru from our dear friend Mr. World Boss! ^^

World Boss Earning Milestones

There are some important milestones for earning more and more from WB and when you pass each one of these milestones your earnings skyrocket!
  1. (easy :P) The first time you can survive 1 hit  ... (oh the memories ^^)
  2. (soon after 1) The first time you can stand for 1 round in front of your troops.
  3. (many months later) The first time you can survive the WB ultimate attack (this is where I am now)
  4. (soon after 3 if you planned ahead) The first time you can survive 2 or more WB attacks
In this post I will focus on #3 and perhaps touch upon #4.

For some demonstration and explanation I made a video about this so I will put that at the bottom of this post if you like to see the video. Other than that let's look at some important factors:

Important Factors to Survive World Boss

In no particular order:

Health or HP

The most obvious and absolutely required element to have is a lot of health. How much exactly to survive the WB ultimate depends on other factors but I started surviving as of about 160,000 health.

If it is important for you to earn more gold and daru from the World Boss then you have the following decision to take: do you put all efforts to earn more at the expense of being weaker in dungeons and pvp? Why? Because for World Boss you will need simply a lot of health and you can boost this via health gems and health astral, which are not really top priority for all other events in the game.

For me, I have decided to, for example, remove some of my defensive gems and get health gems on every single item i have. I have also invested into a health astral, so for example today I could boost my health to 180,000 without potions (with academy).

Block

Something people might not realize straight away is that the chance to Block is very important for surviving World Boss ultimate attacks. For example on my video you can see that when I block I receive roughly 35,000 x 4 damage and when I do not then 45,000 x 4 which is a 40,000 damage difference, which actually at present decides if I live or die.

For this, like for the HP above, you need to decide if you want to convert your gems to block. Today I was looking at different knights and I saw Block stats as different as 3500 up to 8000+ on most top knights, so you can clearly see that some people decide to go for it and others not. Those who have high defense and high health consequently have much lower defenses.

Stats from Titles

After the recent patch we can have additional stats from titles, so you can add up a bunch more stats by getting more titles done.

Here you see I have 3,000+ HP from my bonuses and I don't even have too many titles.

So go to the Title Info and check out the different titles you still have not done and pick the easiest and fastest ones to do to boost your stats higher. Some others like killing sylphs 1000 times may take longer time, but sooner or later you can get it done.

Skills and Runes

Another important aspect are the skills and runes.

For knights, who, as usual, have the short end of the stick, there are 3 skills that can help you with the only problem that these don't do any damage so you lose turn(s) when using them. When on borderline survival then a combination of both Apollo shield and Agoran shield might allow you to survive. This basically reduces damage by 40% and boosts your HP. For knights who have advanced their class then Apollo shield together with Mars' Will are better. And as you get stronger you can manage just with Mars' Will.

For archers your go to skills are Incendiary Shot to reduce damage by 30% as well as do damage, so you don't lose a turn and then you might need bloodthirsty strike to heal back up. As these 2 skills can be simply recast then theoretically archers are at the best position to survive WB indefinitely.

For mages your best friend will be the Guardian rune and for borderline cases you can also cast restoration on yourself to get the 15% damage reduction. Here you will be mostly limited by the rune, so 2 times mages can survive easy. Also Guardian rune can be activated without losing an attack turn with a well planned attack sequence. The only time mage may lose a turn is when casting restoration.

Astrals

3 Astrals can help with surviving World Boss, they are:

Goddess Blessing: this directly reduces damage as a percentage so it is very reliable and useful to bring down that damage output from WB and help you survive. All people who want to survive need to upgrade this as a first priority.

Illusion: if you max this out and bless it as much as you can you will have a pretty good chance of avoiding 1 or more of WB's attacks making it much easier to survive. Everyone who wants to survive WB needs to max this astral as a second priority.

Brilliance: this helps to boost your health more giving you just a little bit extra chance to survive. This astral can greatly help especially those who are on the borderline. Upgrade as last priority, but especially helpful for knights as they get further HP bonuses.

World Boss Income

When doing just 1 round with the World Boss then naturally the income will be less than when you survive. My knight usually did about 170-200k on AFK mode at 150,000 BR and perhaps around 300k on a lucky manual sylph round with double attacks. Other stronger players, especially archers and mages, would earn a lot higher, while still on 1 round.

Moving on to surviving 1 ultimate attack your income nearly doubles to about 400k compared with average 250k. It will never be 2 times more I believe but you will certainly feel the difference. Also if you take into account the time difference it is definitely not 2 times more. You basically only gain 20 seconds when you survive the World Boss ultimate attack because that is the time you have to wait when you die.

Surviving more than 1 ultimate attack

Thanks to my friend GreyGandalf I can share with you his nice income when he survived 2 ultimate attacks. Here you see the screenshot - a whooping 1.2 million gold and daru:

and here are his stats and astrals for those that want to see:

World Boss Survival Video

And last, but no the least, my video where I survive the World Boss and talk about the steps and the various elements:

And this one is the video of Elia which was about doing double attacks but you can also see her making a nice 650k income per round.
