Dimensions Power for Sky Trail

Hey guys, I want to share with you info on the awesome connection between Dimensions and Sky Trail. I was stuck for a long time on Sky Trail Level 3 Stage 5 - a very difficult Dark Boss, hitting me with 250.000 damage, with no hopes of passing it anytime soon.

However, I managed to get my hands on 2 basic and 2 intermediate dimension coordinates, which you might have seen in my Dimensions video series:

And after completing these 4 I managed to get my Dark Resistance up to 624 without having a Hades sylph. Here below you can see my resistances at the time (left) and the power-ups given by the dimensions (right).

Only because of Dimensions I was able to beat that boss (and the one after), because with the higher resistances I was getting less damage, which means I was surviving more to do damage. Like I mentioned, there is no way I would have beaten this boss had it not been for the Dark Dimensions, so my advice to everyone is to save up dimension coordinates the element of the next Sky Trail level that you are unable to pass.

Depending on the difficulty you need at least 5 basics of that same element, but otherwise I'd say a minimum of 3 basics to get those resistances increased and then as the energy costs is down to 10 per step then opening 1-2 intermediate dimensions and if possible, for the 5th one, an advanced dimension. Then you will have a huge surge of resistance allowing you to beat the Sky Trail boss.

Repeating this strategy over time you can pass a lot of Sky Trail levels bringing you also a much better Horns income every day.

Use Dimensional War Buffs To Your Advantage!

(posted by Ashira of the DolyGames Team)

Hey guys,

As some of you know, I was stuck at Level V Stage 3 in Sky Trail and was quite frustrated with it, since I was not close to beating it even after the boost that the Hall of Fame rewards gave me.

However, we have a new strategic piece in handling our challenges in both PVE and PVP now – Dimensional War. The rewards gained from Dimensional War are nice already, but using the right maps there can help you beat bosses that you wouldn’t be able to beat otherwise, as occupying dimensions boosts the relevant resistance.

In my case, I knew I had to increase my Wind resistances, so that the V-3 boss does not hit that hard and I can avoid using defensive skills, such as Shield or Apollo Shield. Therefore, I used a Basic Wind Dimension and an Intermediate Wind Dimension and from occupying all 5 stages in the Basic Dimension and 6 stages in the Intermediate Dimension, these are the boosts I received:

The boost is really substantial! My wind resistance (with an Electro Sylph on) is usually only 250 (-200 base statistics and +90 from each Level 7 Wind Resistance Crystal), now it increased to a decent 387 – so an increase of 54% just from Dimensional War. The resistance reduction effect has also increased, here my usual value is 555 from the three Level 6 Will Crystals, with the Dimensional War boost it is now 626, so a 13% boost. So yeah, the Dimensional War boost helps you deal more damage and take less damage at the same time, which is awesome. With this boost, I was finally able to kill the nasty goblin that is the Sky Trail V-3 boss.

Try to use the Dimensional Maps in a smart way! For PVE, if you are stuck at a level in Sky Trail, use maps of this element in Dimensional War to increase your chance to beat it. For PVP, if you face mostly Electro Sylphs in Class Wars (Knights, Archers), you can boost your Electro Resistance this way, while mages can boost their chances in Class Wars most by using Dark Maps in Dimensional War.

Sky Trail Tips and Video

(Posted by Eliatan of the DolyGames Team)

Hey you guys, success in Sky Trail is a key part of collecting (free) materials for sylph refinement. Here I'll layout a few things to think about before and during your efforts to complete as many levels as you can.

Resistances
The two important resistance to have on your toon when facing a very tough Boss are the resistance of the Boss's element, but more importantly is the resistance of YOUR sylph. It doesn't make much sense to me either, but if you're using Gaia/Hercules, you'll take less damage if you have very high electro resistance, than if you just stack dark resistance for the 1-5/2-5/3-5 Bosses.

Astrals
I'd recommend finding a way to put Regeneration and Illusion into your astrals if you have them. For knight and archers, Enhanced Guardian Angel (EGA) is also a decent option to help your survivability, but I would not suggest it to mages, because it will greatly decrease the chances of crit healing yourself.

Build
Like all other single target PvE instances, Crit builds are going to flourish in Sky Trail more so than Will Destroyer ones. I'm hoping to get another post out soon about building an ideal toon for PvE combat (not at all what I have for my own toon at the moment).

Runes
I would have recommended Heal and Mire (or Heal and Rage to archers), but with the introduction of Patch 3.1, we will no longer be able to slow Sky Trail bosses. Now I'd go with Heal and Brutality/Rage, for the bosses where survival is questionable.

Skills
For your class-based skills, I would aim for ones that will help keep you alive and deal decent single target damage. But ones for survival are more important -- the vast majority of your damage will be dealt while in sylph mode.

Sylph
I think if you have Electro/Dark or Fire/Dark, you can deal with most any Boss, given the right stats. Though I do have a friend who managed to beat one of the electro bosses with his blue Pan, which is much much weaker than his main sylph. Discretion is advised.

Technique
There are two basic skills that you should practice and get down pat to have more success in all PvE endeavors, including Sky Trail.
  1. Using a Rune after going into Sylph Mode. I helped Cosmos with some full-proof explanation of how to do this, and he explains it in the video below.

  2. Double hitting without slows, which I layout how to do in the blog post Double Hits in World Boss (you can use the same process to get them in Sky Trail) and the video below.

Finally, here's some footage of me taking on a few levels of Sky Trail that were new to me at the time!
