Rarity Requirements for Sylph Evolution Lowered

(Posted by Demonwolf810 - DolyGames Contributor)

Hi-ya everybody, in the past 3 updates to Chinese Wartune many strange and wonderful things have occurred. One notable thing that has occurred is sylphs no longer have to be purple to evolve!

This is good news for non spenders and level creepers (slow levelers). The main (and only) good (ish) news for the heavy spenders is if you already have a evolved sylph, you will get rewards per evolved sylph (They change depending on sylph type.) For my Hercules sylph i got 100 sepulcrum and 100 mahra. For my Hera sylph i got 50 advanced mahra, 50 advanced sepulcrum and 500k gold. Not a great reward but it is better than nothing.

Advantages of Early Evolution

  • Easier to evolve your sylph and you can evolve at lower levels now.
  • Costs less as you do not have to buy mahra to make it stronger.
  • You can get advanced sylph moves.

Disadvantages

  • Many players have evolved sylphs and if they quit it becomes harder for weaker sylphs to get high up in the rankings.
  • Many evolved sylphs end up being weak as you evolve at blue quality they are not as strong as purple.

What I suggest to do

Wait until your sylph is a minimum of 3 star Blue or 20k Battle Rating before you evolve otherwise it will take more work to fix it. If you are impatient then try to get your sylph level as high as you can and put all your points for stats into either Intellect or Strength (depending on which type your sylph uses)

Why to evolve your sylph from blue?

Many of you might be thinking why bother to evolve a blue sylph? Actually the color or the rarity only regulates the strength of the sylph, but what is much more important are the advanced sylph skills that you are able to use - that's far more important than the color / rarity. So having a low level evolved sylph with awesome skills is much better than a higher grade un-evolved one.

2nd Evolution of Sylphs in Wartune

Hey guys, here to share with you the 2nd Evolution of Sylphs in Wartune! Surely some of you will be happy about this while others will be really angry :) Nevertheless, it's a good development and design and even though they will kill me big-time I am happy that they are on the way.

Here I compiled for everyone how each of the Wartune sylph's second evolution will look like and as mentioned on the report thanks to David for the information.

2nd Evolution of Sylphs in Wartune

Firstly I think the designs are very nice, but still, let's break them down. I'll give my opinion first and you guys post in the comments what's your opinion :)

Fire Amazon 2nd evolution design

Really cool :) I like it a lot just like the 1st evolution of Cerberus. And the designer did respect all the flame / fire element, but failed to keep consistent in the creature going from a dinosaur to a 3-headed dog and now to a man. So thumbs down for that.

Dark Hades 2nd evolution design

Woot! Why is this guy changing color from green to pink to blue... I like this design but i don't make sense of his design evolution, I think the Hades designer is confused.

Electro Gaia 2nd evolution design

Oh nooooo!! What is this terrible design. Hercules is way cooler than this weird thing :( thumbs down to this evolution.

Water Iris 2nd evolution design

Really good job! Thumbs up all the way!

Wind Pan 2nd evolution design

A really good job on the 1st evolution to Meduza, but fail on the 2nd evolution. The design is nice by itself, but is not at all connected to previous designs. But at least the color palette is kept consistent in the green tones.

Light Apollo 2nd evolution design

Are you kidding me? seriously? This is nonsense lol :) Again by itself it can be cute / fun, but no consistency whatsoever going from Apollo to the majestic Athena to this - whatever it is.

Conclusion

So I am sad that my own character is going to have to get this ugly Electro design, but in conclusion the best design job for me are the Amazon and Iris evolutions due to respecting the fire and water elements and consistency and the cool designs.

P.S. Please don't flood the comments asking me about more things in the Chinese version. I pestered a non-Wartune friend to help me out with this, so I don't want to make it a regular thing. The reason this came about is I heard a rumor that the transformed version of Gaia supposedly did PATK and MATK damage. That doesn't seem to be the case, but I was too curious not to go try and find out.
