Kids/Guardian Gems with Stats and Images

Hey guys, gems give a lot of stats no matter what kind of gems they are such as sylph gems and player gems. Kids Gems can be gained mainly from Cloud Adventure and Hot events. There are a total of 4 sockets just like our regular equipment and no, you do not need any special material to unlock sockets for kids equipment. The sockets can be opened with 10 Balens/Unbound as your equipment type gets higher which will be explained below.

• Upgrade to Green Equipment to unlock the first socket.
• Upgrade to Blue Equipment to unlock the second socket.
• Upgrade to Purple Equipment to unlock the third socket.
• Upgrade to Orange Equipment to unlock the last socket.

Note: The Kids/Guardian Gems are not actually called Kids Gems but "Agate Gems" in Chinese Wartune.

Highest Possible BR from Gems for Mages

Hey you guys, with the Hall of Fame event ending in a week, I was chatting with a friend about which set of gems will give the most battle rating for mages. That conversation somehow turned into me taking 50+ screenshots of my BR with various gem and sylph combinations, and here are the results :)

To do this test, I took out all of the gems in my gear and then recorded my battle rating after placing exactly one level 5 gem of each type.

In all cases, I benefit most from MATK, MDEF, and HP gems the most, and for the 4th best it varies depending on the sylph:

• Electro: PATK
• Fire: PATK
• Wind: PATK/PDEF
• Water: PDEF
• Dark: PDEF
• Light: PATK/PDEF

Since I my BR is at its highest when I call Hercules, I plan to convert my Crit gems into MDEF (only x4 at the moment) and PATK in a few days.

Sources of Percentage Stat Bonuses

Here I'll list off my sources of percentage-based stat increases. If your bonuses differ drastically from mine, then you should really do the test yourself to confirm which gems give you the most.

Passive Skills

The passives from the skill builds are very big and drive a huge part of which gems end up being the most important. For mages that are not level 80 with class advancement opened, you won't have Sturdy yet, and will definitely get more out of PDEF and MDEF gems than HP ones like I do.

Sylph Passive Bonuses

The next biggest possible source of variation probably comes from which sylph is your main one. Regardless of the passives, you should call the sylph that gives you the most BR, and then adjust your gems for that sylph's passives.

• Electro: +5% MATK, +5% PATK
• Fire: +5% PATK, +5% PATK
• Wind: +5% HP
• Water: +3% MDEF, +3% PDEF
• Dark: +5% PDEF
• Light: +5% MDEF

Dragon Soul

The Dragon Soul System added new percentage bonuses. So far I can't get any more until they release more ways to use Dragon essences. These ones aren't huge though and will not vary the results as much as the hero/sylph passive skills.

Wings

Wings are another source of percentage increases, but like the Dragon Soul bonuses, are quite small compared to the hero/sylph passives.

Upgrading to Level 9 Gems

So, after finding out that the next gem event doesn't have rewards for making level 9 gems, I decided to go ahead and make all level 9s for my gear.

Cross-server Battle - Gem Synthesizer

Dates: 9.28 - 9.30

Objective: Players will be rewarded for synthesizing level 5-8 gems. This quest has unlimited attempts.

Rewards:

Level 5 Gem: Lvl. 5 HP Gem x1, Mount Training Whip x50, Lvl. 1-5 Gem Pack x1, War Pack x1

Level 6 Gem: Lvl. 6 HP Gem x1, Mount Training Whip x100, Lvl. 1-5 Gem Pack x2, War Pack x2

Level 7 Gem: Lvl. 7 HP Gem x1, Mount Training Whip x200, Lvl. 1-5 Gem Pack x5, War Pack x2

Level 8 Gem: Lvl. 8 HP Gem x1, Mount Training Whip x400, Lvl. 1-5 Gem Pack x10, War Pack x3

I don't necessarily encourage others to do the same as I have. It's still possible that they will change the gem event in the future to have rewards for higher levels, but my patience was wearing pretty thin staring at all the gems in my bags -__-

I changed up the balance of my stats a little bit, and decided to go with eight HP gems (instead of four), and four of each defense (instead of six each).

Here are my current stats! Feeling super good with so much HP, which I think is sort of crazy for someone that had HP as a last priority only a few months ago.

This is about a 8k BR increase, so I feel somewhat bad giving up my hoarder tendencies, but not that bad . . .  

Gem Synthesis Event Rewards Adjusted - Outrageously Awesome!

Hey you guys, I think at this point everyone has noticed the awesome rewards from the current Gem Synthesis Event. The DolyGames Team is super happy as well, and we recorded all the crazy synthesis and reward collections!

For every level 5 to 8 gem you make, you get an HP gem of the same level back!

First thing I did after an initial round of gem synthesis was get all level 8 gems into my gear! As of right now I have no plans to make level 9 gems until there is some sort of reward for it. I'll be cutting back cashing since I'm going back to school now and much busier, so I have to hunt for rewards a bit more, even at the cost of temporarily not being able to keep up with the top cross server players!

Here's What I ended up with once I (mostly) finished the event!

86 Level 8 gems and nearly 55k Mount whips!

I could at this point make level 9 gems for all the slots in my gear (and some level 10s), but again, my hoarder mentality is definitely telling me to wait.

Open Letter to Wartune to "Fix This Because I'm OCD"

As the self-appointed chair of Balenor's Bag and Vault Hygiene Committee I implore Wartune to address a grave travesty in their item design.

Clearly block gems either need to be technicolor or level 9 luck stones need to be completely purple. The matchy-ness of my bag organization is of the upmost importance to my sanity and the well-being of those I whine to about the injustices inflicted upon hoarders and obsessive compulsive organizers.

Given the prompt responses I receive for other such vital requests, I expect this issue will be addressed in the Maybe Never Patch which brings us:

• Homestead
• Those three other spots in our farms
• Block scrolls (seeing as every other stat gets a scroll ... GRAHRAHRAH)

Use Wartune Events to Your Advantage

Hey guys, so I want to talk to you about using Wartune events to your advantage and maybe also not being afraid a little. Recently we had a 3 day event about upgrading gems and I must say I always fell into the trap of only synthesizing gems from my bag and usually I didn't have enough for those high level 6 and level 7 gems. Level 6 I could  make sometimes, but forget level 7, I never even considered that. Until....

Until I was chatting with my guildies and I overheard that someone synthesized their own gems, I mean the ones they wear on their equipment just to make level 6 and level 7 gems and so most of their equipment was actually left with small level 2 gems, which we were laughing about.

I thought about this and actually i believe he was right in doing so because you not only get a higher level gem, but also the big rewards from the event. And yes, sure, for a while, and it could be a month or more you will have to make do with weaker gems on your other equipment until you can raise them up again, but I do believe it is well worth it and also because....

...we have other events where you can get even more rewards. So here for example you get lots of soul crystals as reward and gathering enough of these will allow you to get bigger rewards during the soul crystal events which come sometimes just like the time where I used my 12,000 soul crystals and got my nice Frost Lion mount and also lots of Mahras.

So here below a screenshot to show you how I redeemed all the gem rewards and got my first ever 2 level 7 gems. Yes now my BR fell a few thousand because of the low level gems i now have on other equipments, but this is temporary and I am happy about this! :)

Bear in mind that I bought the transmute formula with locked balens only for 1 gem and I had to spend a couple of million gold to convert back and forth to get the PATK gem (i bought the formula for MDEF).
