Rono & Team beat Spire + Tips

Hey guys, I want to share with you pictures and tips from Rono (Edited by me) and his team who completed all Spire stages, so thanks to Rono for sharing his knowledge and hope you find it useful:

My team composition is 2 Archers, 1 Mage and 1 Knight.

My team's battle ratings are as follows (please take into account we all use Warrior Call, guild shop pots and few attack scrolls):

Zoieraptor 363k pet Hercules 4 star purple 74k maxed
Rono 384k pet Cerebus  4 star purple 74k maxed
hopsi 309k pet Hercules 2 star purple 41k
Enigma 301k pet Hercules 2 star purple 39k

Maybe obvious to say, but anytime you use Vulcan always do it after you are in pet (sylph) mode.

Special advice for boss 15: after stun try to save pet for 16 then use pet for 16, 17 if possible as there is no spell / skill CD (cool-down) like LL NM.

Tips for Beating Spire

1. Depending on your team's attack you need to have around 6 Vulcans to successfully beat Spire (more or less depends on your Battle Ratings). We completed the task with with 5 Vulcans on 3 of us and 4 Vulcans on the last team member,

2. You need to reach the Angel boss without using Vulcan.

3. At the Angel boss there are 2 choices: Go with Vulcan on all players after stun or 1 player goes at start initially (tank or front row player suggested) and then 3 go after stun.

4. Knight or tank should go slow on turns allowing mage to puri or heal.

5. For bosses 22, 23 and 24 put Apollo and Incendiary after 2 hits from boss.

6. Try to Vulcan as soon a possible for bosses at 22, 23 and 24. This allows you to go Vulcan a 2nd time if required.

7. Boss 22 seems to target random and low HP players, 23 does 2 hits front then random. 24 is the hardest, very high attack and 2 hits front then 1 random then Delphic.

Dante’s Team Smashes Spire

Hey guys, here a short post Dante asked me to share how his team (his team is called Team 7) smashed Spire and you see in the comments they didn't even have a hard time doing it. I asked him to share some info / tips together with his victory picture and he did, so here is what Dante advises about Spire:

All i can say about spire bosses is give some advice:

  • One tank seems to work better than 2 tanks, 
  • The only hard bit is boss 21 with the stupid dot spell, after that bosses are easier, 
the difficulty of those bosses are:
  • 21 amazon queen (by far the hardest), 
  • 24 pan (back attack might kill mage/archer + aoe on 5th move) 
  • 22 iris (aoe and needs alot of rage if solo mage) 
  • 23 gaia by far the easiest one since we all got hercules and we are high on electric resistances plus it has only single target spells

Spire Chest Drop Rates v7 - 7974 Chests

Hey guys, this report was a little bit long in the making but finally I am happy to share with you the Spire Chest Drop Rates v7 which is the drops after the patch 2.1 where the spire chest contents were adapted and especially the vouchers changed into bound balens since the vouchers were completely removed from Wartune.

As we had no idea if they messed around with the drop rates as well I started collecting data from zero and thanks to everyone who contributed we have gathered up an impressive amount of nearly 8000 spire chests - a massive accomplishment of data gathering.

Shadow Crystals

Comparing to the previous version Shadow Crystals seem to drop less at 41% vs. the 46% recorded before, which is a good thing for us as that is the least wanted item of the lot. Still 41% is a very healthy number.

Bound Balens

Bound Balens which replace Vouchers are the second most frequent drop at 39% versus voucher's 33%. Everyone is of course happy to have these balens.

Stable %s:

Kyanite remains at stable 10%.
Fashion shards are at 5.9% (6.1% in the past).
Level 9 Luck Stones are robust at 4.6% (4.5% before).

Lower drop rate of Fashion Cores

Unfortunately the Fashion Core drop rate has been literally halved compared to the previous spire chests. We have now only 0.2% change of getting Fashion Cores while before it was double that at 0.4%. And even if i dig a little bit in detail it is not a rounding issue, it is currently at 0.24% and before it was 0.38%, so it is definitely less which is also the feeling of the players that I saw in the chat that people said they are getting less Fashion Cores.

Spire to Stage 19 Without Mages 2 Iris

Hello, this is Vlameni from Kongregate Server 3 Europe (aka kong5), showing a spire run without mages but 2 Iris with aoe heal.

I'll try to give advice for a good spire run, also with a few variations depending on the teams strength.

Archers don't forget to take IS , makes the run much easier. Knights should take Apollo shield.

Spire Bosses 3-4-5

Well i think we all know that they need to die before last bar because they debuff for +40% damage received to players each and can't be removed. So, depending on your strength , time it right combine your strong hits at last life bar. Try to save your vulcans for later. If you are not sure you can make it, then better use vulcan than risk a debuff.

Spire Boss 7 

Needs also to die at last bar like the 3-4-5 bosses as he does a speed debuff to the team affecting our auto hits and also the time we need to cast runes. Just get all 4 teammates to cast their ultimate hits and no vulcan needed. If you can't deal enough damage I suggest to take the debuff, save your vulcan for later.

Spire Boss 9 

Needs scatter but if you can, do as I did in the video, don't take scatter but nuke at the start of the fight and then use light attacks & heal as this can save room for another skill as scatter is not needed anywhere else.

Spire Boss 11 

Immediately cast IS & Apollo shield if you have. There is also a nice trick. If your tank dies, then leave him dead, take 1-2 hits if the people in the back are strong enough and then revive him again. This worked really well back when formation was 3 rows. I recommend if you find it difficult to stay alive at 11, someone take iris to support heal to the tank.

Spire Boss 12 

Can't damage you a lot, but enrages to 1000% rather quickly so 1-2 vulcans would be fine unless you have 30k+ damage so you could take him out without vulcans.

Spire Boss 13 

Hits once front row and then does a strong attack to all & damage debuff so start with IS and if you have a mage get puri ready so you remove the damage reduction debuff and vulcan him. 1 iris aoe heal after that hit is recommended. Also IS+apollo together work wonders.


Spire Boss 14 

Start immediately with IS+apollo shield. he does a deadly attack to all. Counter it with puri as he bleeds too. Vulcan recommended as he enrages fast.

Spire Boss 15 

Has a sweet tactic to die. As always, start with IS and get ready to heal your tank. You need to remove 1 health bar so she stuns you and gives full rage just like in lych lair. If you can't get that life bar removed fast, not only she will deal lots of pain but will also propably later enrage to 1000%. So , if the team is at about 30k damage ,use 1 vulcan early, someone get  iris ready to heal or mage. Now the fun begins: when you are stunned, get a mage to bl or an iris to use rain dance in a row. Archers vulcan - sniper - sniper - sniper, no other skill (well except if you need IS) and kill her fast. Watch the video as it's much better than reading !

Spire Boss 16 

Well, you still have zero cooldown from the previous boss, so vulcan her! just 1 thing, she deals a deadly attack to all so have IS or apollo or both ready and also prepare to heal all.

Spire Bosses 17-18-19 

Are just strong and enrage pretty fast. No tactics here, just watch the video.

Our Delta Team makes it to Stage 16 Spire

Hey guys, this is a congratulations post to our guild's "delta team" who are basically the strongest people we got and almost on top of our server and they made it to Stage 16, which is considerably better than the rest of the server which mostly reaches only the archer or eye; then a stronger part of the server vulcan their way into killing the knight and some teams manage to kill the mage boss too, but that's as high as most people get, so grats to our delta team and here is the screenshot from their success:
