Chinese Magic Pot

Hey guys, Magic Pot is back for Chinese Wartune and I want to share two things today. First their Magic Pot Rewards and second a new mount they got.

The Magic Pot

One Activation costs 20 Balens
Ten Activation costs 200 Balens
Fifty Activation costs 1,000 Balens
These prices are nearly half the price we got and yet most of the times we get crap rewards like refinement crystals and gold with luck.

Here are the rewards they got-

On my server only one person got the mount with hard luck, but many other's got gold chest, Advanced Mahara, Kids HP pack, Level 3+ gem packs, and some mount whips. To them these rewards are garbage, but to us it is "Gold".

The Frost Turtle

Description- "From the icy glaciers of the north, this turtle snaps anyone that comes close."

I was hoping for a turtle mount and this mount is better than I expected. If the crystal was a darker shade of blue, then it would have matched perfectly with the crystals popping out in cloud city. We may get this mount soon (2-3 months).

This mount will probably be in a big spenders event or in the magic pot since it is a +500 mount. Be sure to comment below, you opinion of this new mount and their magic pot.

Magic Pot Temptation!

Hey you guys, Magic Pot is out again! If they do it right, Magic Pot tends to be one of those events where cashers "magically" find themselves taking a crack at losing all sorts of money.

I was able to resist the last time this event was around, but I need someone to ban me from my own PayPal account to not at least try this one. I'm not super into glittery stuff (wings), but the x100 Fashion Cores O___O dayum, that's a lot of clothing refinement.

My guess is that if you do this event, you'll end up with a bunch of gold, daru, gem packs, and EXP scrolls. I'm also going to assume that knowing my luck, I would get that x200 fate stones that I don't need at all. May be worth mentioning that I've seen the system chat announcement for the x200 lvl. 2 refinement crystals several times now -- WOOHOO You've received 1/9th of a level 80 refinement!

My soon-to-probably-be-hypocritical advice is to avoid this event like the plague, because 65 balens per activation is quite steep. Put a sticky-note where the icon is on your screen or something >.<

For those of you that did go for it, what big prizes (if any) did you get, and how many activations did you use? I have a guildie that got his first pair of wings for free when they gave hammers that let you try without using balens. He's the same guy that drew a blue Iris on the first day of sylphs. If you have that kind of devil's luck, maybe you should consider it -__-

Magic Pot Event April 2014

Hey guys, the Magic Pot is back! If you are curious you can refer to the drop rates in the last event which is located here: Magic Pot Drop Rates v2.

Otherwise, if not too hard email me the data for what you get from the magic pot in an easy format and i will collect it and report if it is different from the last time or the same.

The one thing they have overlooked is that anyone who already has Hades and/or the Wings will be a lot less tempted by this Magic Pot event and the other highlighted prizes like the level 5 gems or the roses is not something to lose sleep over :P

UPDATE: And it seems according to the forum announcement only Unbound Balens can be spent on the Magic Pot, so not for free players. And here is the full list of items in it:

Magic Pot Drop Rates v2

Hey guys, I have an update to the MAGIC POT drop rates thanks to Mortrad who sent me 500 additional data points and I also sorted them from the most frequent to the most rare. So the sample size is much better - you immediately see the more frequent ones such as 20k Kyanite (13.9% chance), 120k Daru (12.3% chance), 4 Mount Whips (11.5% chance) and 120k gold (11% chance). The 4 of these together make up 48.7% of the drops.

The magic pot was costing 65 balens per attempt, so from say 100 attempts which would cost 6,500 balens then ~50% of these, so 3,250 balens would give the above items and purely technically speaking (cause people called these "trash") it is not a bad return for the balens.

Magic Pot Drop Rates v1

Hey guys, here I have collected 140 attempts at the MAGIC POT and made a report for you to show what kind of drop rates we have for various items. Note, there are more items than these available in the magic pot but in the 140 attempts that I collected these are the ones we got. The sample size is not awesome but is not bad either - you immediately see the more frequent ones such as 20k Kyanite, 120k Daru, 4 Mount Whips and strangely Level 1-5 Gem Packs all above 12% chance. The 4 of these together make up 59% of the drops.

The magic pot was costing 65 balens per attempt, so from say 100 attempts which would cost 6,500 balens then 60% of these, so 3,900 balens would give the above items and purely technically speaking (cause people called these "trash") it is not a bad return for the balens - for example Mount Whips are technically 35 balens per piece so 4 pieces are, even with a discount, more than 120 balens while it costs 65 to attempt the pot + the chance of getting something more. But still the values in the pot are messed up and I wish to have a bigger sample size so if you wanna support with the data just email me when you have the pot available. Here is the report:
